Passing of Wind - no it isnt a famous film!!

So the story goes - during a really good HIIT class yesterday one of the participants (to be left unnamed but you know who you are!!) proudly announced she had just "pumped".
Needlesss to say I did not monitor her lunge position too closely after that!!!
We did however need to do some deep breathing - just to bring down the heart rate you understand ;-)

New Mum's Club Proving Popular in First week!!

Well after a few requests for a Mum's Club Class to tie in with "dropping off" of the cherubs, we started a class this week running from 0930 to 1000, with free time after if needed!!
Great response already, with regulars having attended 3 or 4 classes!!

Mind you, today was kept low key with core and stretching the order of the hour for our 4 day Mum ;-)

I have been attending Sarah's classes for a couple of years now and I have never been to a bad one. Sarah has in depth knowledge of all types of exercise and she is keen to share it with anyone who is interested. First Client in the Studio!!!!

I used the studio earlier as well for a stretching session after a great run with Janet and Lorene from Forsberg - our neighbours at White Cross!
Good meeting with a firm offering great nutritional products earlier, hopefully attending the cookery demo on Wednesday 23rd.

My Golf Game is probably similar to Your Exercise Regime!!

I have played golf on and off since I was about 14. I won a tournament and got an 18 month membership at a lovely course in Bristol (used to be Tracey Park). I managed to get down to an 18 handicap, which at that course was fairly good!
I have recently take it up again and Oh Boy was I rubbish!!! 50 shots on a fairly short 9 hole!!
Well yesterday morning I went along to Ashton Golf Centre in Lancaster and had a 15 minute video lesson where the professional, Simon Lucas, assessed my swing. He looked at a couple of other issues and - YES YOU GUESSED it, I hit 100 golf balls this morning and reckon 85 went where I wanted them, even my 3 iron!!!!
Anyway, enough of this. My analogy between my golf and your fitness regime is this -

I had played quite a bit and really never got any better. After a 15 minute lesson I have improved. There is still a really long way to go though ;-)

A Day of Advertising!

Up at 5, running streets at 6 with a great client who smashed her PB today on a number of levels!!
Now on to my advertising day pre-opening -
Already sent off a draft to a contact at local newspaper;
Draft done for an advert to go out to all local Hospitals and GP's etc.;
Meeting later to sort out access to the Business Park's Intranet/Portal;
Then trying to get in to the Adult College for some Joint Venturing!!

Last but not least, home for a Rowing session. Nice!!!

Hey All You Budding Rory Mcilroy's!!!!

If like me you have just had a lovely round of golf in the fantastic British "heatwave" no doubt you will be feeling a little tight around the lower back region.
I have not played for a while and a short 9 holes has made me remember what it used to feel like after 2 rounds in a day!!
At our new studio in Lancaster I will be helping anyone suffering with lower back pain. Not only will I assess your condition, I then go on to manage and treat it by careful use of appropriate exercise and strengthening regimes. You wont be sent away with a sheet of paper and told to do the exercises - I know you wont do them!!!
What I do is guide you through exercises, showing the correct way to pick up, lift, lower and bend in the right places. I wont give you an exercise to do until we are both happy that you can perform it 100% right EVERY TIME!!
I also offer functional training using a variety of equipment that will assist your swing, posture and all over muscle tone, aimed at making the wonderful game even more enjoyable (if that is possible?).
