We are expanding! Lancaster Gym now offering training courses!

Since opening last November, Train Together are expanding!
This August has been a very exciting month... we now have two brand new rooms (doubling the size of our studio!). We have just welcomed the arrival of lots more equipment, and can't wait to introduce our new training courses to Lancaster!

This September we will be officially opening the new area- but first, let me give you a quick update and sneak preview of what's to come...

Our Courses

Our expansion has provided us with a training suite- here, we will be teaching CYQ Approved Gym and Personal Training courses, First Aid and Manual Handling qualifications. All of our courses come at a local provider advantage- No need for costly and time-consuming journeys to Manchester, Leeds or Liverpool (plus, our prices are extremely competitive- so you can relax knowing you are getting the best prices, too!) The suite is the perfect size for group training, therefore, ideal for groups of staff wishing to get qualified together.

Our Equipment

If you have been in the gym recently, you may have witnessed the arrival of our new equipment- including a treadmill, bikes, cross trainer, leg curl/extension, chest press, lat pull-down, cabler and lots more!
With more equipment and space, the area will open for clients to come along as they please and workout individually whilst classes continue in the main studio.
The extra space will also accommodate additional fitness classes, including Spinning, Pilates and Kettlebell training.

Train Together are now exploring how to best use the new space as an activity based children’s area – perfect for busy mums and dads who wish to work out without the added “where will my kids go?” stress.

Look out for details of the open day this September and make sure you come along for a free week to try out our fitness studio

8 reasons to invest in high quality design to promote your business!

8 reasons to invest in high quality design to promote your business

We have, at Printing Plus, over 30 years experience in print and design with an eye to the future that means we keep up to date with all the latest technology.  First impressions count in every business, we understand how important it is to grab your customers’ attention and impress them with the professional way you do business.
Design plays a key role in influencing perceptions of your business and it is viewed by customers and prospects as a measure of quality and value. If you would like to attract prospects, retain customers and open up new marketing opportunities, good design should be at the centre of your strategy.
Here are eight reasons why good design works:

1. You only have 50 milliseconds to capture attention

Good use of colour, fonts, images and brand assets such as logos will give you an advantage in this moment of opportunity. Blink and they’ll miss you.

2. First impressions count

First impressions do count. Studies show that if a customer’s initial opinion of you is a good one their goodwill naturally carries through to other aspects of your business.

3. Good design is memorable

A good design also makes a lasting impression, and that can be a real asset in the battle to stand out from your competitors.

4. Trust is built on appearances

High quality design elicits an emotional response from customers and prospects, helping to establish their trust in your business.

5. Clever design works well across all media

You need to be as eye-catching on social media as you are on your website, and your stationery needs to be as appealing as your advertising. Clever design ensures all of that.

6. It can increase your sales

Brands like Apple and Nike know how to use the power of design to boost sales and companies of every size can follow their lead by policing their brand and being consistent.

7. A careful balance of text and images will communicate your message effectively

It is important to communicate your message quickly and effectively. Only a well-balanced design will make this possible.

8. Staff feel proud to be part of your business

It’s easy to look at the effect design has on people outside of your business and forget those inside. Good design and strong branding helps staff feel proud and boosts loyalty.

This August, Muscle Up is Returning to Train Together!

After the great success of the last Muscle Up programme, we have been asked to run another course! Our aim is to get more men stronger and more toned.

The gains in strength (and confidence) seen with the 3 “big lifts” during the last course, were fantastic.
Personal Bests were smashed – our most impressive results being massive gains of 18.5% and 18.4% in the Squat and Deadlift respectively. This was achieved in the short time span of just 8 weeks!
If you follow the programme and all advice given, we guarantee you will get stronger – or we'll give you your money back!!

Don't just take our word for it...

Michael Gibson

What have you enjoyed most about the course?

"The course was excellent, it was very well structured with measurements taken at the start and goals clearly defined, which gave a sense of purpose throughout the training, and it was great seeing my personal progress and strength gains as the course went on"

How did you find it?

"I loved it! Neils training was thorough and attentive as always and it built up at a pace that meant although it was hard work it wasn’t too much of a shock to the system, and it didn’t stop me being able to walk up stairs.... like some other high intensity training I have tried! :-) Doing it as part of a group made it fun and kept the motivation levels up. I would definitely do it again."

Did you make some strength gains and reach your goals?

"Very much so. I started to feel stronger after the second week and by the end of the course I had increased my maximums by about 20% across the board which was more than I thought I would. I could see the difference in myself, and also felt a positive difference personally in terms of my mental fitness and motivation. So yes, my goal of reducing my body fat and increasing my strength was very much achieved, and I had fun doing it :-)"

The new programme will begin the week
commencing 18th August 2014.
This programme will be slightly different – the original being over 8 weeks this one is over 14 weeks. You will be training 3 days per week, as opposed to the last programme where we trained 4 days per week.

We have already got 1 signed up and have space for 3 more!
If you are interested or would like more details please don’t delay because this will be your last chance to get stronger, more toned and confident with your lifting before 2015!!!

Your Chance to win Le Tour de France!!!

Le Tour de France at Train Together!

This July we once again welcome the Tour de France to our televisions- and last weekend, welcomed it to our country!
As we cheer on our favourite racers, we may feel a little bit inspired to get the old rusty bike back out of the garage.
Of course we encourage you to get cycling- but why not cycle alongside the professionals and be in with a chance of winning a smaller (but as important!!) version of the race?!

At Train Together we are equipped with our special Tour de France bike. The bike has 21 real Tour de France routes, and this month we will be choosing one at random to use as our Train Together Challenge!

Don't miss out on your chance of winning our special Train Together Tour de France title!
Not only will you be number 1 on our score board, you will also win yourself one of our special TT Tour de France YELLOW JERSEYS (so you can really show off your achievement!)
But be warned! This race really is a Tour de France Challenge- and could take an hour to complete (so make sure you allow yourself plenty of time)!

Participation can be individual or in a group (no larger than 3 people) - so if you have some super fit friends that could help you to win, make sure you sign them up, too!

To take part, please contact us or come along to the studio and have a go! All participants must have cycled by Sunday the 27th.

Good luck!!
The Train Together Team :-)

Ladies Fat-Busting, Inch-Losing, Muscle-Defining Boot Camp (Yes, we really can do all this for you!)

Let's begin by putting the best known excuse for bad eating, into perspective...

We wouldn't treat our phone this way, so why do we continue to abuse our bodies?

Sometimes all we need is a bit of motivation- motivation to be reminded that there is more to life than a Gregg's Steak Bake (regardless of what they might tell you!) After all, would you rather eat the junk food you've craved for the past hour, or have the body you've craved for a lifetime?

At Train Together we are all about motivation- and where best to get it, then alongside a bunch of awesome ladies with the same goal as you?

This July, join us for our Ladies Boot Camp...

Let Sarah show you what your body is capable of. Come along to lose fat, tone up and feel amazing (and look pretty damn good, too!) We are on your side, and we know how to help.
Come along, bring your friends, begin your 'get-fit' journey and let's smash those goals together!

Remember ladies, good things come to those that sweat.

See you at Boot Camp.

Help us raise money for the RLI Children’s Ward!

Our Christmas Challenge included rowing 250m, slamming battle ropes and power cleaning 15k. However, this summer we have decided to take on a new, and very different, challenge... raising some money for charity!

Our wonderful members at Train Together have been asked to find us 25 new people- they don't have to sign up, they don't even have to give us any money, all we require is they come along and enjoy a FREE WEEK at Train Together!! The catch? Well, there isn't one- unless you call 'having fun' a catch?

So, we have a deadline... Saturday 31st August... and we have a target... 25 newbies
If we hit our target, £100 from Train Together will be donated to the wonderful Children's Ward at the RLI. Additionally, if any of our free-weekers decide they LOVE (and of course, we're sure they all will!!) what we have going on at Train Together and choose to sign up to one of our monthly memberships, we'll give a further 20% of each membership to the ward! (We know the sign below says £5... but we decided that we can raise more money if we increase it to 20%!)

   Why the Children's Ward?
Many of our current amazing clients work for the NHS (statistically, is it approximately 10% of all our members!). They are so hardworking, passionate and dedicated to their jobs and we would love to support the work they do. Of course, loads of our members also have children; Neil (who has four!!!) has had one of his children spend four days in hospital with a badly broken arm (ouch!). Since, Neil has always really appreciated the importance of having a good local hospital, and would love to help make the experience of hospital as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible, for all children.

Sarah and Neil would love to encourage you to get involved!! Come along for your free week or, if you're already a member, bring along a friend!! (The more the merrier!!)

For some further details, or just to say hello (we love meeting new people), please contact Neil (neil@traintogether.co.uk) or Sarah (sarah@traintogether.co.uk) on 01524 389616 / 07725482701 or sign up via our website here: www.traintogether.co.uk

Alternatively, comment below and we will happily sign you up!!

Thanks guys! :-)
